Revealing God's Secret Plan

Ephesians 3:8-10 (Amplified Bible)

8To me, though I am the very least of all the saints (God's consecrated people), this grace (favor, privilege) was granted and graciously entrusted: to proclaim to the Gentiles the unending (boundless, fathomless, incalculable, and exhaustless) riches of Christ [wealth which no human being could have searched out],
9Also to enlighten all men and make plain to them what is the plan [regarding the Gentiles and providing for the salvation of all men] of the mystery kept hidden through the ages and concealed until now in [the mind of] God Who created all things by Christ Jesus.
10[The purpose is] that through the church the [a]complicated, many-sided wisdom of God in all its infinite variety and innumerable aspects might now be made known to the angelic rulers and authorities (principalities and powers) in the heavenly sphere.

Footnotes: [a] Ephesians 3:10 Webster's New International Dictionary offers this as a definition of "manifold" (the King James Version's rendering of the Greek polupoikilos).

The understanding of God's secret plan is only obtained through enlightment. How does this enlightment occur? Well, Jesus came to earth and dwelt among us two thousand years ago. When He returned to heaven, He promised to send the Holy Spirit - the Spirit of Truth - who would be with us until the end of the age. The Holy Spirit was sent to earth by Jesus (Acts 2:32-34) and where does the Spirit of God live?  Not in buildings - but inside of those who believe in and have accepted Jesus as Lord in their lives (1 Corinthians 3:16).

It is this Spirit that gives us the wisdom and revelation to know God and to understand what He has done for us (Ephesians 1:17-19).

Avoiding the snares of death

Proverbs 13: 13 - 14 Whoever despises the word and counsel [of God] brings destruction upon himself, but he who [reverently] fears and respects the commandment [of God] is rewarded. The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, that one may avoid the snares of death.

Obtaining teaching from the Word of God has eternal value in that it provides the Wisdom required to avoid the snares of death. Those who are committed to the narrow Way, need solid biblical teaching. Today the Internet provides a way for the disciples of the Lord to obtain teachings from the wisest in our generation. Recognise that Church Services on Sunday are not sufficient to equip true disciples. Disciples need to get solid teaching of the Gospel of the Kngdom of God. Seek and you will find!

Sowing and Reaping

Luke 19:22 - “His master replied,
‘I will judge you by your own words, you wicked servant! .."

Matthew 7:1-3 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

Hebrews 12:15 See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.

Galatians 5:14-15 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.

Romans 2:1 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.

Not to love your brother/sister in Christ and to judge them means missing the grace of God. When you judge others you are coming under a curse of condemnation - because, except for the Grace of God, you do the same things - you are just as guilty as them.

So repent of your judging and receive the grace of God. If someone has disappointed you, rest assured that you too have disappointed others. People will always disappoint, only Jesus will not. Renew your active Love for the person, and you will once again experience the Love and Grace in your life!

Witness, believe and obey!

John 2:22 (Amplified Bible): When therefore He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He said this. And so they believed and trusted and relied on the Scripture and the word (message) Jesus had spoken

We have two witnesses, the Word of God (Scripture) and the Holy Spirit. Once the two of these line up, we can believe and act in trust, that the Lord will do what He has promised!

We can get another witness, that is, the confirmation from other beleivers - but the decision we make is ours, and we take full responsibility for it. And it should be firstly and most importantly based on our trust relationship with the Lord
